The Quad Cities Community Foundation Announces Largest Grant in its History

The Quad Cities Community Foundation this week announced the largest grant in its history —$350,000 to the Quad Cities Housing Council (QCHC) to support its efforts in affordable housing.

The grant – which is supported through the Community Foundation’s Transformational Grant Program – is part of the foundation’s ongoing commitment to advancing affordable housing in the Quad Cities.

It will help QCHC build its internal capacity by hiring more staff for administrative support, raising and distributing additional funds, and leading policy work to encourage more affordable units in new multi-family developments.

“Without safe, decent, and affordable housing for all, our community can’t thrive,” said Randy Moore, board chairperson and interim president and CEO of the Community Foundation. “We’re confident that making such an investment in the Quad Cities Housing Council will mean a more prosperous and equitable community for everyone who calls the Quad Cities home.”

Moving forward, the Community Foundation will continue to support timely opportunities in other focus areas by making at least one $100,000 Transformation Grant award annually.
